We are a nonprofit agency providing northern New Mexico with many services for community recovery. Our core support to the community is a focus on opiate addiction and recovery, although we offer services to all people, including the elderly who may not be experiencing substance abuse issues. These and many other services are provided by Inside Out Recovery, all FREE OF CHARGE!

Seeking Safety
Seeking Safety is an evidence-based cognitive-behavioral group therapy that specifically targets the unique problems that result from struggling with both drug/alcohol use and PTSD. It teaches people with PTSD and substance use problems a number of different coping skills, including learning how to ask others for help, recognizing warning signs or high-risk situations for drug/alcohol use, self-care, and coping with PTSD symptoms. Seeking Safety is recognized widely as one of the most effective treatments for PTSD and substance abuse.
This is the result of a three-year grant and partnering organizations, including Inside Out, the LifeLink and the University of New Mexico’s Center for Rural and Community Behavioral Health.
Inside Out is pleased to offer free trauma based Seeking Safety groups. These groups will be continuously ongoing and enrollment can take place at any time. New enrollees may start at any session in order to complete the 12 weeks.

Inside Out Recovery has been helping the Española community for 15 years, and we are still growing!
We see over 2,000 individuals per year, we have recorded 25 zip codes on our sign-in sheets this past year alone.
We believe Everyone is Important, so we deny service to no one for any reason.
All our services remain free of charge without an appointment necessary.
Inside Out Recovery consistently serves over 300 meals a month to our community. Meals are served hot and always prepared with nutritional conscience in mind.
